Our goal is to make food more affordable, higher quality, and convenient for everyone. We're changing the game for restaurateurs, whether they’re entrepreneurs opening their first restaurant all the way through to your favorite global quick-service restaurant chains.
What you’ll do
As a Software Engineer at CSS, you'll be an integral part of our data-driven development team, contributing to the evolution of cutting-edge internal tools. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
- Data-Driven Development: Contribute to a data-centric development team, and engage in strategic planning for various internal tools.
- Agile Methodologies: Implement and test software using agile methodologies.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with a collaborative team to enhance and support technology.
- Code Contribution: Write, debug, maintain, and test code for diverse projects.
- Architectural Design: Design scalable systems with a focus on architecture.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Actively participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, driving innovation within the team and supporting CloudKitchens’ technological advancements.
- Full- Stack Development: Develop and maintain both the frontend and backend components of our applications
What we’re looking for
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Software, Computer Systems or Networks Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 5-8+ years of domain experience in the specified role.
- Individual Contribution: A track record of significant contributions in previous roles, showcasing your ability to make a meaningful impact.
- Strong ability to design and create long-lasting architecture from scratch and evolve existing systems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate with non engineering stakeholders.
- Expertise with Java/GO

This role is based in our Seattle office location. We believe that people do their best work when they are together. As a company, we’re in the marketplace of ideas and innovation. When you’re constantly innovating, changing how an industry works, inventing new products and processes - and we are doing all these things - we believe we’re better as a team in person. That’s why all of our teams (except for our field-based roles) are now working from one of our office locations 5 days a week.
