Job Description

Job Purpose & Dimensions:

We are looking for an engineer to maintain and enhance a design data management platform that supports product development, documentation, and engineering collaboration.

This role covers application development, platform operations, release support, user enablement, and integration with related engineering systems.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain application features based on engineering and business requirements.
  • Support software releases, testing, deployment, and user communication.
  • Administer platform infrastructure, environments, and system performance.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and service improvements.
  • Implement monitoring, troubleshooting, and reliability practices.
  • Provide user support, training, and clear technical documentation.
  • Integrate the platform with other tools and services in the engineering environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize improvements and support adoption.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in full-stack application development on ASP.NET + IIS, C# & C++ programming languages and database-backed systems.
  • Strong database knowledge, including query development and performance tuning.
  • Experience with server administration and application hosting environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment concepts.
  • Experience with monitoring, diagnostics, and incident response practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation for operational tasks.
  • Understanding of release management, testing, and deployment workflows.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and migration planning.
  • Familiarity with project tracking and Agile ways of working.
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and iterative delivery models.
  • Interest in modern development tools and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of APIs and system integration patterns is a plus.
  • Experience in engineering, technical documentation, or data management domains is beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

 

    Qualifications

     

    • Solid understanding of modern software development practices and C#, C++ VB.NET or similar programming languages.
    • Bachelor or Master degree with relevant background (Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related).
    • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in application development and/or infrastructure engineering.
    • Business fluent in English.

    Key Relationships:

    • Partner with engineering users and stakeholders to gather needs and feedback.
    • Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and operations teams.
    • Work with technical specialists to support hosting and service reliability.
    • Engage with users to support adoption, training, and continuous improvement.
    • Coordinate across teams to balance service quality, priorities, and delivery.
    • Contribute to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing team culture.
