The Full Stack Microsoft Developer designs, develops and supports computer programs, custom code, and conversions that automate specific business processes. A successful candidate will be intensely curious yet disciplined, with a passion for solving real-world business problems through thoughtful design, well-written code, and speed to delivery. This role requires a breadth of knowledge across the technical landscape and is deeply familiar with custom development using the Microsoft technology stack (Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft SQL, Azure data Factory, Synapse, SharePoint SPFX, .NET, Python coding, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Helps establishes, recommends and follows the framework and manage best-practice governance for the Microsoft Power Platform including Microsoft Fabric.
  • In depth understanding of Coding platforms (C#, JavaScript, .NET, Python), Databases (SQL, CDS), Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data transformations, and other Microsoft technologies (SSRS, Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint SPFX).
  • Creates and executes detailed implementation plans ensuring all actions are consistent with the stated priorities.
  • Creates designs and specifications, and converts those into computer code.
  • Collaborates with business partners, leadership, and other solutions leaders to bring strategic technical vision to reality.
  • Consults with users to develop, refine, test, and debug programs to attain users’ approval.
  • Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with custom built software.
  • Monitors performance of software solutions after implementation.
  • Analyses and estimates feasibility, cost, time, compatibility with other systems, and computer capabilities.Educate Power Platform super users on best practices.Conduct monthly discussions with super users on current and upcoming projects.
  • Monitor data pipelines for failures and quickly resolving them to minimize business impact.
  • Monitor capacity to usage and work with super users to optimize data models.
  • Continual evaluation of IT improvements needed to support super users.
  • Manages scope and scope change control process as well as version control for custom code and development.
  • Analyzes, defines, and documents system requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
  • Demonstrates solutions to team members and end users for feedback and acceptance.
  • Obtains signoffs from functional users on specifications and requirements to ensure that the design meets their functional needs.
  • Anticipates and identifies trends and problem areas within the project and devises solutions.
  • Builds robust, scalable, and high-quality test automation solutions for functional, regression and performance testing. Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm program meets specifications. Develop code for quality automation and ensuring extensive integration test coverage of the code.

Qualifications 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years hands on experience developing with JavaScript, C#, .NET or similar in an Azure cloud based environment.  
  • Familiarity with authentication and design patterns. Strong understanding and experience with RESTFUL APIs and web services in general.
  • Familiarity with the Azure Data Lake and basic data warehousing concepts, including building and administering data flows and pipelines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform suite (Fabric, Power Bi, PowerApps, Flows)
  • Experience with deploying and administering SQL Server database(s).
  • Experience with deploying and administering Azure SQL Database(s), MS Azure Web Apps, Function Apps, SharePoint, SPFX and Visual Studio Code and repositories.
  • Understanding and experience in Microsoft .Net architecture.
  • GUI development tools required C#, ASP.Net MVC, React, JavaScript, MS-SQL
  • Experience creating reports using SSRS.
  • Knowledge of development patterns including best practices for re-usable software development
  • Experience in, and comfortable in a fast paced, fluid and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills across organizational boundaries

Preferred Qualifications - What Will Set You Apart

  • Relevant experience in manufacturing, industrial, or energy industries.
  • Governance experience on general SDLC and no-code platforms like MS Power Platform.
  • Experience with MS-Office Development example MS-Graph, SPFX, and ETL packages using Azure Data Factory or similar tools.

Travel requirements

  • Ability to travel to domestic locations including day trips and overnight.
  • Anticipated travel is minimal and no more than once a quarter.

Working Conditions

  • Mostly normal working hours, but availability to work off-hours (evenings, weekends) to address unexpected IT issues/outages, or supporting implementations.

Physical Requirements

  • Willing and able to pull and lift, up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Primarily computer-based work requiring extended periods of sitting at a computer, typing, but may also including standing, walking, carrying, or lifting (up to 20 lbs) in support of team tasks.
