About your role
 

The GPS tech stack and engineering ecosystem need to evolve rapidly to address strategic technology drivers and meet end customer experience demands. A knowledgeable technologist leader is needed to lead and drive this space with commitment. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will play an important role in a global program, working with Architects,  product owners, and technology teams within Fidelity International to deliver and enhance the technology platform supporting Fidelity International’s Fund Dealing and Brokerage Capability. Collaborating with the business proposition team and technology architects, you will use your experience in cloud platform engineering to assist with the engineering aspects, design, definition, exploration, and delivery of an end-to-end solution to scale a global record-keeping platform. You should be committed to delivering high-quality and scalable solutions with a continuous focus on customer needs. You should be willing to challenge and be challenged on areas for improvement and be comfortable working alongside other engineers in a pair programming environment.

About you

This position requires a self-motivated individual with a solid technical engineering background and influencing skills, who can develop, assist development teams with cloud best practices, troubleshooting, and other technical issues related to the implementation of a customer-facing proposition.

• Deliver and provide technical expertise as part of the engineering team from both design and day-to-day coding.
• Collaborate with business analysts to identify new improvements, customer requirements, and ensure delivery.
• Ensure delivery is timely, efficient, and cost-effective.
• Manage stakeholders across various technology and business teams.
• Ensure that technical solutions meet the necessary functional, non-functional, and support requirements, and  align with Global Technology Strategies.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the delivery.
• Partner closely with architecture, business, and supporting central groups while working within a global team.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to the team on AI-related projects and initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience as a full-stack engineer, including below as must have:

• Agile software delivery.
• Java and front-end (React/JavaScript/TypeScript) development.
• Spring Framework and REST API based applications.
• AWS and Kubernetes knowledge.
• Database expertise (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
• Testing frameworks (JUnit, Cucumber, Gauge, Selenium)
• Expertise with AI-driven development using tools like GitHub Copilot with Agents, and experience integrating AI into software solutions.
• Knowledge of agent-based systems and their application in real-world scenarios.
• Understanding of best practices in AI development and ethical considerations.

AI Proficiency

• Uses code autocompletion AI (Copilots) for simple tasks and searches StackOverflow/ChatGPT for troubleshooting (most code expected to be AI-generated) and beginning to adapt.
• Working knowledge of LLMs, Transformers, MCPs and Prompt engineering
• Knowledge of GenAI tools like OpenAI APIs etc.
• Generative AI & LLMs: Basic understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GAI), with hands-on experience in LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI APIs and Model Context Protocol (MCP) for building AI agents and conversational systems, Transformers, and Prompt engineering
