Engineering Manager / Lead Full Stack Engineer - Vice President

About the role:

We are looking for engineering manager that can lead the medium to large software engineering team through SDLC process and is comfortable operating in large scale organization with many cross-team dependencies.

Responsibilities:

• Write high-quality code according to guidelines and patterns.
• Guide the team with a strong understanding of software engineering concepts.
• Implement agile practices using methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
• Lead technical design following architecture guidelines and ensure adherence to architecture and security standards.
• Manage the day-to-day work of the team, lead larger system buildouts, and set clear expectations.
• Ensure everyone understands the goals and context and implement ceremonies for well-defined work.
• Encourage cross-team collaboration and assimilate new joiners into the team.
• Provide mentorship, negotiate plans of action with stakeholders, and facilitate interactions with the team.
• Embrace company culture and values, foster team spirit, practice active listening, and handle interpersonal conflicts.
• Act as a partner to the product manager in setting up the roadmap for the team.

Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years software engineering experience building enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions
• 8+ years of development experience with Ruby on Rails
• 5+ years of development experience with React
• 5+ years of test automation development using RSpec, Cucumber or similar
• Demonstrated understanding of relational database concepts and modeling practices (Postgres, MongoDB)
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary technology groups
• Ability to work in an Agile / Kanban methodology
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group effort, as required
• Solid problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication skills
• Collaborative approach to software development
• Any experience with Financial Services systems

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $170,000 to $210,000 depending on level.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
