The MissionWe're building one of the world's largest AI video clipper. Having solved the "long-to-short clipping" challenge, we're now tackling the "magic quality" challenge: elevating AI quality and taste to match top editors, producers, and professional creative teams. We're also streamlining workflows by deeply examining content selection, video production, and post-production editing best practices while reinforcing our data flywheel. You'll join the team to push our product beyond its current limits.
ResponsibilitiesWork closely with product and marketing/sales teams to rapidly ship prototypes, beta versions, and production releases of key improvements like eval-driven AI curation & reframing, auto-post functionality, and platform latency/throughput optimization.
Co-innovate with world-leading social media creators and companies to validate product initiatives, driving deeper integrations that improve user acquisition and retention.
Bridge engineering and research by collaborating with the AI/ML team to build the "serving layer" for experimental models, transforming research artifacts into scalable, production-ready services.
Build "Opus Intelligence": design and ship the dashboard that connects video content to real-world ROI (views, conversions), evolving our product from a utility into a decision engine.
Scale for enterprise: architect the "Enterprise Readiness" layer (bulk workflows) that enables large media houses to manage massive video archives.
Implement semantic search using high-dimensional vector databases to power "OpusSearch" and allow users to find exact moments across thousands of hours of video using natural language.
The "Product" Engineer: You care about why features exist. You understand that "Intelligence" is the answer to "What should I post today?"
Technically Versatile: You're comfortable moving between React frontends, Node.js backends, and diving into logs to troubleshoot complex network/server issues (connection resets, async cURL scripts, dockerized services).
AI-Native Mindset: You don't need to be an ML researcher, but you know how to build applications around AI models and understand the complexities of context windows, latency, and vector search.
Experience: 3+ years shipping production-grade software. Experience with video infrastructure, vector databases, or high-volume data pipelines is a major plus.
Our tech stack: GCP, TypeScript, Python, Redis/MongoDB/Cloud Storage, AI models
Market Leadership: We're defining the "Agentic Video Editing" category and setting industry standards for quality and taste.
High Impact: Your work directly influences our ability to capture the prosumer/enterprise market and hit our ARR targets.
Vancouver Hub: Be a key part of our growing Vancouver site, working closely with leadership to shape our engineering culture.
