Job DescriptionThe team develops innovative data-sharing solutions that help financial institutions make faster, more informed lending decisions through Australia's Consumer Data Right (CDR) framework, empowering lenders, brokers, and fintechs to instantly verify income, assess affordability, and accelerate lending decisions. As part of this innovative and fast-growing business unit, you'll contribute to building and enhancing solutions that simplify access to trusted financial data, improve customer experiences, and drive the future of Open Banking.
What you'll be doing
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Product Engineering, you'll design, build, and operate customer-facing and internal platforms across—,APIs, services, and data—primarily on the PHP and MySQL ecosystem and AWS Cloud environment. You'll also help the team safely leverage GenAI coding assistants, such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Lovable. This will improve delivery velocity, code quality, and developer experience, in line with our AI governance standards.
QualificationsWhat you'll need to bring to the role & Experian
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in PHP application development and software design.
- 3+ years of experience with React.js and modern front-end development.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented programming, design patterns, and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
- Experience with Python and PHP frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter.
- Familiarity with AWS, Linux environments, and Nginx.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Puppeteer.
- Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners, with exposure to Agile delivery and secure software development practices.
- A commitment to security, privacy, and compliance standards (PCI/ISO/SOC).
- This role reports directly to the Hiring Manager
- Hybrid working model, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely each week.
