About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Engineer with a strong background in web-based 3D graphics, including viewers and editors. You should be comfortable taking complete ownership of our 3D viewer, rebuilding it from the ground up, and have a track record of working with complex 3D models on the browser, focusing on performance, rendering, and editability. Bonus points if you have experience in the construction, architecture, gaming, or animation industries.
What you'll do
Redo the entire existing 3D viewer from a geometric engine standpoint, integrating our proprietary engine into the web app.
Take ownership of the entire 3D section of the product, with full accountability and responsibility to deliver and execute.
Work closely with the CTO, CPO, and Product Designers to build and scale our web application's 3D interaction capabilities.
Build and scale software systems that handle loading, unloading, and rendering of complex 3D models on the browser, optimizing for latency and performance.
Lead the 3D engineering efforts from concept to deployment, with the potential to build and lead a team within a year.
Develop both backend and frontend systems to support our 3D platform.
About you (Qualifications, etc)
4+ years of experience building production-grade web applications, with a focus on interactive 3D editors or viewers in the browser.
Hands-on experience developing and shipping 3D visualization tools, including model loading, editing, and real-time rendering.
Strong proficiency with modern frontend and full-stack technologies, including Next.js, Three.js, and/or Babylon.js.
Experience working across the full stack, from frontend interfaces to backend services and data pipelines.
Background in industries such as gaming, film/animation, or construction; construction experience is especially valuable.
Experience building games or developer tools for game creation is a strong plus.
Solid understanding of 3D graphics concepts, performance optimization, and browser-based rendering constraints.
Degree in Architecture (B.Arch, M.Arch) or equivalent experience in a related field.
Good to have
Experience with BIM workflows and AEC data formats such as IFC or Revit.
Familiarity with construction technology platforms or digital twin systems.
Experience working in fast-paced, product-driven environments.
