Full-stack Engineer (f/m/d)

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Full Stack Engineer to join our Platform Team. In this role you build and own the internal software our engineers and production teams rely on every day: the applications that track what runs on every system we build, support our manufacturing and test processes, and turn operational data into better products. This is not a customer-facing web role: your users sit in the same building, and the tools you build directly determine how fast we can build, test and deliver.

• Design, build and own internal web applications end to end, covering frontend, backend, data model and deployment

• Develop tooling that supports our manufacturing, where clarity and correctness in the user interface directly affect hardware outcomes

• Build and maintain the configuration and traceability applications that connect our engineering, production and business systems into one coherent chain

• Extend our ML and data tooling so that operational data flows reliably from the field into datasets, models and back into our systems

• Integrate heterogeneous systems (PLM, ERP, version control, device fleet, data platform) through robust APIs and clean interfaces

• Work directly with the engineers, operators and test teams who use your software, and translate their day-to-day problems into simple, durable solutions

• Take ownership of the reliability of what you build, as these applications are part of our production and development critical path

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field

• 4+ years of professional experience building and operating production web applications, with clear depth in at least one half of the stack and solid competence in the other

• Strong backend engineering in a modern language such as Python, Java, Kotlin, C#, Go, TypeScript/Node or comparable. We care more about engineering strength than about prior exposure to a specific language, and expect strong engineers to pick up an unfamiliar stack quickly

• Practical frontend experience with a component-based framework (React, Angular, Vue or similar) and the judgement to design an interface that people can use under time pressure

• Sound relational data modelling and practical experience with relational databases

• Confident with containerisation, version control workflows and CI/CD; able to deploy, monitor and debug your own services

• Proven ownership of an internal tool or platform: gathering requirements from colleagues, scoping them realistically, and maintaining the result over time

• A pragmatic engineer who builds robustly where correctness matters and deliberately simply everywhere else

• Structured problem solver with a hands-on mindset and a bias toward shipping

• Eager to work closely with a multidisciplinary team of software, hardware, production and flight test engineers

• Fluent in English, German is beneficial

• Experience with manufacturing, MES, PLM or ERP systems, or with software used on a production floor

• Background in robotics, automotive, aerospace or other hardware-related engineering environments

• Experience with data pipelines, data versioning or MLOps tooling

• Working knowledge of container orchestration and infrastructure-as-code

• Build technology with real operational impact: Develop autonomous defense systems designed to protect lives and strengthen Europe’s security

• Shape scalable defense capabilities: Work on solutions built for mass deployment, cost efficiency, resilience, and reliable production at scale

• Contribute to networked air defense: Help integrate our systems into multi-layered defense architectures alongside sensors, command systems, and effectors

• Develop for real-world operations: Build capabilities together with end users and improve them continuously based on direct operational feedback
