ABOUT THE JOB
As a TeePublic Engineer, you will be part of a team that values continuous improvement as well as continuous integration. We ship code multiple times a day with a low-friction process that relies on collaborative code reviews, rigorous monitoring, and regular A/B testing. C&C works on all things Customer & Creator! You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to scale our global E-commerce platform with both technical architecture and modern user experiences and interfaces. Your responsibilities will intersect with TeePublic’s most critical user-facing business functions, and your efforts will have a tangible impact on the company’s ability to meet rising demand and continue to deliver a delightful experience to thousands of artists and millions of customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement architecture projects targeting key scaling needs for business critical areas of the application
- Implement new and updated customer and artist-facing features using modern front-end best practices and technologies, like View Components and StimulusJS
- Support and own technical projects through architecture reviews, implementation proposals, specifying work, and retrospective debriefing
- Share and gain new knowledge through mentoring, pair programming, and collaborative code reviews
- Write automated tests and work with your team to QA new features and bug fixes
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years experience in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and PostgreSQL
- 4+ years experience in HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript (ES6+)
- 2+ years experience with background job processing tools like Sidekiq or Resque
- Experience with Agile project management
In support of pay transparency and equity, the hour pay for this 12 month contract is $65/hr at the time of posting. While this is our reasonable expectation this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
