WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US
As a Lead Software Engineer, you are responsible for complex software features from design through delivery. You set the technical direction, raise the bar on quality, and make the people around you better. You work with modern AI tools and have the opportunity to participate in great AI Hackathons organized together with Microsoft (check recap from recent event here AI Hackathon 2026 ).
As an Engineer in Service Orchestration you will be part of international team builidng reliable, scalable services, orchestrating workflows and integrations, and automating operational processes. We work on developing self-service tools that allow our stakeholders to deploy and manage cloud environments.
We develop backend (API) and frontend (web application) using mainly:
- C# .NET
- Angular
- Azure
This is a devops role requiring not only development skills but also participating in bug fixing, testing, investigating and supporting users with additional focus on security. Requires being engaged and taking initiative.
Engineers at SimCorp are expected to shape how the work gets done, not just execute what's handed to them. If you want to own something end to end and work alongside people who take the craft seriously, this is the right environment.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Lead the design and architecture of software solutions that meet both business needs and engineering standards, and be accountable for the outcome.
- Mentor and support engineers across the team. The expectation is that your involvement makes the team better, not just the code.
- Work closely with product and design to ensure seamless delivery from concept to production.
- Own the resolution of complex technical issues. You are the person others escalate to, and you are expected to have an answer or find one.
- Drive continuous improvement in how the team builds software: tooling, processes, standards, and culture. If something is slowing the team down, you fix it or propose how to fix it.
- Set the standard for code quality. Code reviews are how you scale your judgment across the team.
WHAT WE VALUE
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with experience leading technically complex projects.
- Solid foundation in software design, distributed systems, and engineering best practices.
- The ability to communicate clearly across disciplines, with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders alike.
- A bias toward action and ownership, and low tolerance for unnecessary complexity.
