The RoleAs a Full Stack Developer II, you’ll play a key role in building scalable systems and leading small initiatives across the Verto Health platform. You’ll work independently on features, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and help mentor junior developers while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
You’ll work across the full stack—designing APIs, building intuitive interfaces, and improving system reliability—helping healthcare organizations orchestrate care at scale.
What You’ll Do- Design, build, and deploy new features across front-end and back-end systems
- Collaborate with product, design, and implementation teams to define technical requirements
- Review code from peers and provide constructive feedback
- Optimize database queries and improve API performance
- Participate in architectural discussions and propose scalable solutions
- Support data and AI teams with code reviews or integration work
- Identify and resolve issues proactively; improve reliability and usability across modules
- 3+ years of professional full-stack development experience
- Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Angular or Vue.js, and PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of software design principles and best practices
- Experience working in an Agile environment with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub), automated testing, and code documentation
- Comfort mentoring junior team members and collaborating across disciplines
- A systems-thinking mindset—you understand how one line of code can ripple across a platform
- Experience integrating with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, etc.)
- Familiarity with Azure, Kubernetes, or containerized environments
- Interest in data visualization or analytics tools
- Exposure to AI or NLP-related projects

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000 CAD per year, depending on experience, skills, and alignment with the role.
In addition to base compensation, Verto Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, which may include health and dental coverage, paid time off, professional development support, and flexible work arrangements.
Compensation is reviewed regularly to ensure fairness, market alignment, and internal equity.
