About the Role
We're seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our innovative team at BrainPOP. As we continue to expand our platform and enhance user experiences, we require a seasoned developer who can contribute their expertise to our dynamic projects.
In this role, you will
- Develop and maintain scalable web applications and APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure seamless performance
- Work closely with Product Management, UX & Design, and other Developers to build new tools enabling creativity at scale
- Ensure our code is of the highest quality by practicing and evangelizing engineering best practices (code reviews, pairing, etc.)
You have
- B.Sc.or M.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience as a full-stack developer
- Experience with PHP and frameworks like Laravel or Symfony
- Experience with a modern client-side framework like Vue, React, Angular or Ember
- Architectural understanding of web applications
- Knowledge and understanding of work in modern environments: version control, build tools, CI servers
- Superior creative and innovative problem-solving skills
- Eager to learn more about new languages and frameworks
- A disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
