Gurugram (Onsite)SHIFT
UK Shift (1:30–10:30 PM, Flexible) ⚠ UK Shift: This role operates on a UK-aligned schedule, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST, with flexibility based on project requirements and team overlap needs. Consistent availability within this window is essential. Please apply only if you are comfortable with this commitment. ⚠ Non-Negotiable: BTech / BCA / MCA with a live project component during graduation is mandatory. Your GitHub profile will be reviewed before your screening call. Profiles without genuine, deployed public projects will not advance, regardless of experience or education.
The technical bar here is real. We are looking for someone who has shipped code, not just studied it. Your GitHub profile will tell us more about you than your resume will. If your repos show consistent commits, genuine project depth, and code you'd stand behind, you will stand out. If they are empty or filled with tutorial clones, you won't.
The core stack is Node.js, Python, SQL, and Docker. Frontend exposure in React or Next.js is needed. You will work across the full cycle: designing, building, testing, and deploying. You will participate in code reviews, work within CI/CD pipelines, and write code that will be flagged by SonarQube and Copilot. That is not a threat; it is the standard of the team you are joining.
- Build and maintain server-side applications and REST APIs using Node.js, NestJS, and Express.js.
- Write Python scripts and services for automation, data handling, and backend logic.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services cleanly and reliably.
- Ensure backend code is tested, documented, and production-ready before it ships.
- Develop responsive, user-facing interfaces using React and Next.js.
- Collaborate with the team on UI/UX decisions and implement them with clean, maintainable component structures.
- Ensure frontend and backend are tightly integrated and behave consistently in production.
- Design and work with relational and non-relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Write efficient SQL queries and apply core DBMS principles to schema design and data handling.
- Handle data migration, indexing, and query optimization as the product scales.
- Containerize applications using Docker and deploy to Azure environments.
- Work within and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, repeatable deployments.
- Maintain awareness of deployment health and flag risks before they reach production.
- Participate in code reviews, giving and receiving feedback constructively.
- Work within SonarQube and GitHub Copilot review workflows as standard practice.
- Write clear documentation for your code, APIs, and architectural decisions.
- Communicate proactively on blockers, progress, and handoffs in an async, cross-timezone team environment.
- BTech / BCA / MCA degree with a live project component during graduation. Non-negotiable.
- 1 to 2 years of full-time experience, or an in-depth internship with real delivery ownership across the stack (not shadow work or tutorial projects).
- Hands-on Node.js: you have built backend services, not just read the docs.
- Python: working knowledge for scripting, automation, or backend services.
- Core DBMS and SQL: schema design, query writing, joins, indexing basics.
- Docker: containerization fundamentals and working knowledge of container-based deployments.
- Git: disciplined commit history, branching, and PR-based workflow.
- Public GitHub profile with genuine, deployed projects. This is reviewed before the screening call.
- AI-assisted development tools: working knowledge of GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent as part of your daily coding workflow. This is standard practice on the team, not a bonus skill.
- Claude Code: hands-on familiarity with Claude Code as an agentic coding assistant. Used on this team for autonomous code generation, refactoring, writing and running tests, debugging complex issues, and scaffolding new features. If you have not used it, you should know what it is and be ready to adopt it from day one.
- Prompt engineering fundamentals: ability to write structured, effective prompts for code generation, debugging assistance, and feature development. You know how to get useful output, not just any output.
- NestJS and Express.js for backend service development.
- React and Next.js for frontend development.
- PostgreSQL or MySQL as a primary relational database.
- Experience with third-party API integration (payment gateways, CRMs, communication platforms, etc.).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Azure deployment environments.
- SonarQube familiarity and experience working within automated code quality pipelines.
- LinearB familiarity.
- Cross-platform mobile development (React Native or Flutter).
- Cloud platform exposure: AWS or Firebase.
- DevOps tooling: Blob storage, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Async-first communicator. You write clearly, document blockers before being asked, and don't go dark on a cross-timezone team.
- Code owner, not task completer. You push code you would be proud of in production, not code that just passes the sprint board.
- Feedback-forward. SonarQube flags and Copilot review comments are part of your workflow, not a judgment on you.
- Builder with proof. Your GitHub shows consistent work over time, projects that actually run, and code that reflects learning. Not one-commit repos from a bootcamp.
- Curious over defensive. You ask good questions and admit what you don't know. In a senior-mentored team, that compounds faster than pretending.
- Education: BTech / BCA / MCA with live project experience during graduation is mandatory. Degrees without a project component or from programmes that didn't require hands-on delivery will not be considered.
- GitHub: A public GitHub profile with genuine, deployed projects is required before your screening call. Repos with one commit, empty ReadMEs, or only tutorial clones will not count. We look at commit history, not just code volume.
- LinkedIn: Your profile should be current, accurate, and professional. It will be reviewed alongside your GitHub before screening.
- Shift Commitment: UK-aligned shift, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST, with flexibility based on project needs and team overlap. Comfortable availability within this window is required.
- Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days preferred. Longer notices considered only for a strong match.
- Ramp time: actively contributing to sprint tasks within the first 30 days, independently owning features by day 60.
- Code quality: SonarQube and Copilot review pass rates trending cleanly within 60 days.
- Sprint delivery: features and fixes shipped on time with documented, reviewable code.
- Bug rate: low defect density in code pushed to staging and production.
- Communication quality: async updates, blockers flagged proactively, no chasing required.
- PR hygiene: clean pull requests with meaningful descriptions and responsive turnaround on review feedback.
- Stage 1: Talent Management screening, GitHub profile review, and LinkedIn review. Profiles without a public GitHub will not progress.
- Stage 2: Technical assessment. This is skills-heavy with real-world simulations, not MCQs. Expect coding tasks that reflect the actual stack and problems you will encounter on the job.
- Stage 3: Technical interview with the Product Owner and a senior developer from the team, covering your assessment output, your GitHub projects, and your approach to building and debugging.
- Stage 4: Final discussion and offer.
You join a live product team and own real features from the start, not shadow tasks or mock projects.Senior Mentorship
Work directly with experienced developers and a Product Owner in a structured, code-review-driven environment.International Exposure
UK-aligned shift with US overlap means you work with global stakeholders and build communication habits that will carry through your career.Competitive Package
