Full Stack Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Developer to design, build, enhance, and support enterprise-scale web applications. The successful candidate will leverage modern full stack technologies to develop scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions while collaborating throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines through extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities.
  
• Translate technical system specifications into working, tested applications.
  
• Develop detailed programming specifications and write or generate code.
  
• Compile data-driven programs, perform maintenance activities, and conduct unit testing.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising during software implementation, conversion, migration, and ongoing operations.
  
• Collaborate with IT professionals throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  
• Design, develop, test, debug, document, deploy, and support applications.
  
• Develop and integrate front-end and back-end application components.
  
• Design and construct REST API services and integrate front-end interfaces with APIs.
  
• Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) implementation.
  
• Conduct design walkthrough sessions with project teams.
  
• Provide post-implementation support and resolve technical issues.
  
• Create user and system documentation as required.
  

Required Qualifications

General Technical Skills

• Experience in programming, analysis, and specialized software package support.
  
• Experience with structured methodologies for application development, design, implementation, and maintenance.
  
• Experience with object-oriented and/or third-generation language development tools.
  
• Experience with one or more programming languages.
  
• Experience with application design, deployment, troubleshooting, and modern design patterns.
  
• Experience with relational and hierarchical databases.
  
• Experience with information retrieval technologies and query languages.
  
• Experience with communications protocols.
  
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements from business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  
• Experience with application architecture, API development, and front-end/back-end integration.
  

Full Stack Development Skills

• Proficiency in both front-end and back-end development.
  
• Experience designing and implementing web architecture.
  
• Experience with database design and deployment.
  
• Experience building applications optimized for speed and scalability.
  
• Experience with REST API development and integration.
  
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and implementation.
  

Core Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of experience as a designer and developer on large-scale multi-client web applications.
  
• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience using Oracle or SQL databases.
  
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with REST API development, React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Node.js.
  
• Experience with microservices architecture and applying architectural principles to improve maintainability and extensibility.
  
• Experience with RxJS, Next.js, and Vue.js.
  
• Experience developing responsive web applications.
  
• Experience using Azure DevOps.
  
• Proven experience working with WCAG accessibility standards and AODA requirements.
  

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of security gateways and protocols including JWT, OAuth 2.0, and SSL Certificates.
  
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
  
• Experience applying object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, refactoring, and clean code practices.
  
• Knowledge of architectural styles including message-oriented, reactive, and event-driven architectures.
  
• Knowledge and experience with blockchain and smart contract development using Solidity.
  
• Foundational understanding of cryptography concepts.
  

Additional Skills

• Knowledge and experience with internet-ready applications.
  
• Experience with Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies.
  
• Knowledge of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
  
• Experience working with middleware and gateways.
  
• Experience reviewing and modifying installation scripts, including testing and debugging.
  
• Working knowledge of accessibility regulations and standards.
  
• Strong Angular and JavaScript expertise.
  
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, and modern front-end development practices.
  
• Experience designing user interactions, developing servers and databases, and supporting mobile platforms.
  
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles.
  
• Experience with Java web application technologies including WebLogic, Tomcat, EJB, and Servlet.
  
• Strong Oracle and SQL Server database skills.
  
• Experience with REST and SOAP web services.
  
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
