Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer with a strong Frontend orientation to join our Platform Engineering team, focusing on building and enhancing our Internal Developer Platform (IDP) using Backstage as a platform. This role is primarily Frontend-focused (approximately 80% Frontend / 20% Backend), with an emphasis on creating intuitive, scalable, and developer-friendly user experiences.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining self-service capabilities that improve developer experience and streamline software delivery. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance developer productivity and platform adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain modern full-stack applications.
- Take part in the development of scalable and high-quality production systems.
- Work across both backend and frontend technologies, depending on project needs.
- Build and integrate APIs and external services.
- Work with cloud-based technologies and services.
- Collaborate closely with developers, architects, product teams, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Explore and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and development tools.
- Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools where appropriate, while maintaining strong independent coding and problem-solving abilities.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-designed code following industry best practices.
- 3+ years of experience in Full-Stack development, working on production systems.
- Experience with at least one strongly typed or compiled programming language, such as Java or C#
- Hands-on experience with backend development frameworks, such as Spring, .NET, Node.js, or Python-based frameworks.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and services, preferably AWS, including services such as Lambda and S3.
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Experience designing and integrating with external APIs and third-party services.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with modern AI-powered development tools, such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools.
- Strong fundamental programming skills and the ability to independently design and write code without relying solely on AI tools.
- A genuine curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to different project requirements.
