Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer / Technology Specialist with strong experience in Capital Markets and Asset Management domains. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Python, React, Java, and SQL, along with a sound understanding of Public Markets, Securities, Bonds, Trading & Settlement, Regulatory Reporting, and Client Reporting processes.

Experience supporting global asset management teams, particularly within investment management environments, will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications supporting capital markets and asset management business functions.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, investment teams, and operations teams to gather requirements and deliver technology solutions.

  • Develop front-end applications using React and backend services using Python and Java.

  • Build and optimize data processing solutions using SQL and modern database technologies.

  • Develop solutions supporting:

    • Public Markets

    • Public Securities

    • Government & Corporate Bonds

    • Trading & Settlement Operations

    • Regulatory Reporting

    • Client Reporting

  • Enhance reporting platforms and automate business-critical workflows.

  • Integrate applications with internal and external financial systems.

  • Ensure application performance, security, scalability, and regulatory compliance.

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

Required Technical Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience in:

    • Python

    • React.js

    • Java

    • Standard SQL

  • Experience in API development and system integrations.

  • Strong understanding of database design and optimization.

  • Experience with application development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.

Required Domain Experience

Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Understanding of financial instruments, trade lifecycle, and settlement processes.

  • Experience working with Sydney-based or APAC Asset Management teams is desirable.

Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Candidate Profile
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Experience working in fast-paced financial services or capital markets environments.
