Full Stack Application Engineer

To further strengthen our digital transformation, we are looking for a passionate Full Stack Application Engineer to help build robust, user-friendly modern business applications using a mix of low-code, pro-code, AI assisted development and cloud native technologies that support and streamline our global business processes.

Make a difference as a Full Stack Application Engineer

As a Full Stack Application Engineer, you design, build, enhance and maintain modern business applications that help Enza Zaden work smarter and more efficiently. You translate business needs into scalable, user-friendly and well-integrated solutions, while continuously improving existing applications, workflows and interfaces. In this role, your work will include:

• Develop and implement innovative solutions according to Enza Zaden UI/UX, security and quality standards using a mix of modern application development technologies to automate and enhance business processes across departments

• Work in multidisciplinary teams that deliver direct business value through pragmatic, user-friendly digital solutions

• Collaborate with technical domain expert teams that are responsible for defining and building the foundations and standards of our platforms

• Support our user community and create reusable components, agents, templates and guidelines to ensure consistency, security and scalability across platforms

• Contribute to the design and execution of our enterprise-wide Low Code and AI Assisted development strategy, aligned with our broader IT architecture

• You play a key role in maintaining, securing, enhancing and monitoring the performance of existing applications and interfaces

What you bring as a future colleague 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, developing and deploying business applications in a professional environment.

• Hands-on experience with application development, workflow automation, data models and user interfaces.

• Able to use a mix of low-code, pro-code, AI assisted development and cloud native technologies and are familiar with integration methods such as REST APIs, Logic Apps and SQL.

• Experience with governance, solution architecture and application lifecycle management is a plus.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies like Scrum and understanding of Devops practises and tooling like automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools

• You are analytical, structured and a clear communicator and you excel in global cross-functional teamwork and align with stakeholders

• A position for 38hours per week;

• A gross monthly salary between €3,984 and €5,500 (Scale 8, Collective Labor Agreement for Vegetable Seed Companies), based on a full-time workweek of 38 hours and aligned with your knowledge and experience;

• 8.33% vacation allowance and an attractive annual bonus program of 10% of your annual salary, depending on your job level and company performance;

• 25 vacation days, the option to purchase additional vacation days, and one paid vitality day per year, with extra vacation days granted as you get older;

• A laptop and mobile phone provided by Enza Zaden;

• A contribution toward overnight accommodation costs if you live farther away from Enza Zaden. This program applies to employees working for Enza Zaden in the Netherlands whose one-way commute exceeds 100 kilometers and 75 minutes;

• An attractive retirement plan, commuting reimbursement if you live more than 10 kilometers from your workplace and a remote work allowance when working partly from home in consultation with your manager;
