Job Description
Job Purpose
The Field Services Scheduling Platform (FSSP) project is the implementation of a global software tool for the efficient scheduling of jobs and resources, touching every deployment to a customer’s site. The Project Manager will play a key role in the successful selection and deployment, ensuring objectives are realised on time and on budget. The Project Manager works with implementation partner and Weatherford team to review and align on the delivery approach including integration design, change strategy, training and implementation, ensuring alignment and Weatherford interests are catered for. The Project Manager will work to bring all stakeholders together, manage risks through strong governance and remediate efficiently so as to keep the project within scope and delivered on time.
Roles & Responsibilities
OPERATIONS
- Collaborates with Partner/System Implementer to ensure alignment at all times, driving Weatherford needs.
- Facilitate delivery of the selected FSSP project by ensuring the team drives commitments to completion on time and, acting with a sense of urgency, with a high level of quality, and a strong attention to detail.
- Partner with Supplier, Partner/System Implementer, team members and other stakeholders to define solutions for “unique” challenges and requirements, e.g., defining and minimizing customizations, developing options for nonstandard business needs
- Provide input into various strategies and approaches needed to deliver the program, e.g., operational approach (current state/future state), testing approach, workshop content and schedule, security
- Influence operational readiness for Weatherford resources, e.g., Operational or Global Process Owners, IT, Product Owners
- Provide expertise in understanding and applying standard project management and delivery methodology and project tracking standards to build effective plans and deliver quality solutions.
- Manages the scope, change management and sign-off process for all deliverables with Project Leadership/Steering Committee as necessary.
- Ensure initiatives are managed to deliver expected outcomes. Proactively remove impediments to ensure successful delivery of team commitments.
- Drive issue resolution and risk mitigation and research and resolve problems, unexpected results or process flows.
- Coordinates activities across modules and supports resolution/ mitigation.
- Coordinates Weatherford team resources and availability as necessary.
- Maintains project schedule using a project planning tool and tracks critical path, project milestones and assesses progress to date, status; and reports same to direct manager and the organization.
- Leads internal processes and controls for policy changes requiring proper corporate approvals / governance.
- Monitor and manage the budget and business case financials and report against actual costs and variances.
- Manage program scope and change request process, documenting options, decisions and budget impacts
- Manages and owns communications within and across the project, ensuring transparency and buy in on key decisions.
- Provides direction and guidance to functional/operational/SME leads.
- Working closely with Organizational Change Manager on communications plan and stakeholder engagement exercises.
- Responsible for driving communication of changes and any updates needed as a result of enhancements delivered.
- Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other internal stakeholders, in support of the automation of the selected solution.
- Develop user process/workflow guidelines and documentation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years leading complex, high risk projects/programs, preferably at the Enterprise-wide level and/or across multiple lines of business and geographies.
- Bachelors in Business, Science or Engineering
- Experience with software implementations, upgrades and ongoing operations
- Balanced technical and non-technical experience, including development of roadmaps, strategies, and solutions from ideation through delivery
- Experience consulting, influencing, leading and partnering with business executives, leadership, product managers, strategic partners and peers
- Executive presence, including ability to facilitate decision-making and drive agreement amongst diverse, differing, and/or conflicting perspectives/priorities
- Experience tracking, monitoring, assessing, and reporting progress of project initiatives
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to make quick decisions and turn findings into executable solutions
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certification
