The Frontline Leader in the Warehouse will manage a small team of associates in our Warehouse and will be responsible for the timely movement of inventory, materials and products. Frontline Leaders have a direct impact on our Associates and our business through:
Key Responsibilities:
- Train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance, safety, and engagement
- Monitor workflow and staffing to meet productivity and service level targets
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed; serve as a hands-on resource for the team
- Investigate discrepancies, resolve inventory issues, and coordinate cross-functionally as needed
Continuous Improvement:
- Safety: Foster a culture of safety by completing safety incident reports, holding others accountable to safety protocols, and providing mentorship to safety champions.
- Quality: Support a quality culture and established quality standards. Understand the Red Tag process, quarantine process, and participating in root cause analysis.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to processes and associate performance to ensure that processes are picking, packaging, shipping/receiving runs effectively and efficiently
- Communication: Ensure others are informed of day-to-day operations, delivery metrics, customer demands, or obstacles/challenges that the team are faced with.
Required Qualifications:
- 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED
- Proven leadership abilities with 3-5 years of experience (Team Lead, Supervisor, or similar role) in a warehouse, logistics, or materials management environment
- Hands-on experience with receiving processes, including system entry, and discrepancy resolution
- Forklift experience required (certification preferred or ability to obtain quickly)
- Strong working knowledge of inventory control practices and warehouse operations
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and improve performance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift certification (or recent practical experience operating various equipment)
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems
- Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement experience
- Experience in manufacturing or high-volume distribution environments
