Frontend React Developer (Contract)

Information Security Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
• Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
• Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Role and Responsibilities

• Triage, investigate, and resolve complex non-codefix issues in the React Native mobile application for both iOS and Android platforms
• Analyze and debug connectivity issues between the mobile app and backend services, focusing on the front-end request/response cycle
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to global service integrations, such as Google Maps, OAuth, and biometric authentication
• Use AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools to review logs, track performance, and proactively identify potential issues
• Determine when issues require code changes and escalate with thorough technical analysis
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base with troubleshooting guides, issue resolutions, and FAQs

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of front-end development experience
• Proven hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting mobile applications built with React Native
• Strong understanding of both iOS and Android platforms, including configurations, permissions, and build processes
• Skilled in debugging REST APIs and analyzing JSON payloads using tools such as Postman
• Experience with core AWS services, especially CloudWatch for log analysis and monitoring; familiarity with S3 for asset management
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a passion for resolving technical challenges in live production environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to read and understand JavaScript/TypeScript code to identify potential bug sources prior to escalation
• Proficiency with ticketing systems such as Jira Service Management or Zendesk
• Familiarity with mobile monitoring tools like Sentry, New Relic, or Datadog
• Basic understanding of SQL queries to assist with preliminary data validation
