About the Team

With eight specialized departments, the engineering team functions as a highly collaborative, diverse powerhouse. Each department mission is to deliver seamless and innovative communication solutions. These range from software development and machine learning to quality assurance teams that work to create and maintain Zoom's user-friendly interfaces and robust infrastructure. The team continues to push the boundaries of communication technology, bringing people together regardless of their physical distance.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and optimizing core modules while promoting frontend standards to boost efficiency and code quality.

  • Developing and integrating user-facing AI features and capabilities (e.g., real-time suggestions, smart assistants) into our platform.

  • Contributing to the architecture and implementation of AI Agent interfaces, ensuring seamless frontend integration and user interaction.

  • Evaluating and implementing technical solutions, continuously tracking emerging technologies, and introducing new tools based on business needs.

  • Driving maximum performance from existing foundation models through expert prompting, rigorous evaluation, and advanced context engineering.

What we’re looking for

  • Hold a Bachelor's diploma or higher in Computer Science or a related field, with solid computer science fundamentals.

  • Demonstrate strong software engineering skills in TypeScript or Python and a deep passion for tinkering with and pushing the limits of foundation models. Must have experience mixing prompt engineering with traditional software engineering to unlock new AI capabilities and possess a data-driven approach to raising AI quality, including building and evaluating prompts at scale.

  • Demonstrate great communication and teamwork abilities, drive projects, mentor, and lead engineers. Must have experience with AI technologies and possess an excellent product sense for applying them effectively to user problems.

  • Demonstrate experience with collaborative documentation, AI technologies, and excellent product sense.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$98.900,00

Maximum:

$228.700,00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
