Nexus is building a world supercomputer by leveraging the latest advancements in cryptography, engineering, and science. Our team of experts is developing and deploying the Nexus Layer 1, the Nexus Network, and Nexus zkVM in support of our mission to enable the Verifiable Internet.
Nexus raised $25M in Series A funding, co-led by Lightspeed and Pantera, with participation from Dragonfly, SV Angel and more.
We are headquartered in San Francisco, and this role will be in-person with the rest of the Nexus team.
Frontend Engineer
As a Senior, Staff, or Principal Frontend Engineer at Nexus, you'll be at the forefront of creating intuitive, high-performance web applications and SDKs that enhance the developer experience. Your work will directly influence how developers and users interact with the Nexus network, making complex cryptographic computations accessible and user-friendly.
Responsibilities

Innovative Development: Design and implement cutting-edge web applications and SDKs that set new standards in user experience and developer engagement.

User-Centric Design: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to craft interfaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and functionally robust.

Performance Optimization: Ensure applications are optimized for speed, scalability, and responsiveness across various devices and platforms.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and cryptographers to deliver cohesive and impactful solutions.

Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep abreast of the latest developments in frontend technologies and developer tools, integrating best practices into your work.
Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years in frontend development, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional web applications and developer tools.

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

Developer Tools: Experience in building SDKs, APIs, or other tools that enhance the developer experience.

Performance Focus: Demonstrated ability to optimize applications for performance and scalability.

Collaboration Skills: Strong communication skills with a history of successful cross-functional teamwork.

Problem-Solving: Creative thinker with the ability to tackle complex challenges in innovative ways.
