About the Role
Set technical direction for Axiom's frontend
Ship user-facing features end to end, from concept to launch, with design and product
Build interfaces that stay fast under a constant stream of live market data
Own performance, responsiveness, reliability, and interaction quality
Debug production issues across the browser, the network, and the backend
Evolve the frontend architecture while keeping it simple and maintainable
Raise the engineering bar through strong judgment and mentorship
Minimum Qualifications
Deep React and TypeScript experience
Excellent programming and debugging fundamentals
A track record of shipping fast, reliable, polished products
Sharp product judgment and an eye for detail
Comfortable working with high ownership in a fast-moving environment
Preferred Qualifications
Frontend performance work: render cost, memory, bundle size, and jank
Real-time data over WebSockets, including high-frequency updates and backpressure
State management at scale (we use Jotai and TanStack Query)
Charting, virtualized lists, or other data-dense interfaces
Debugging production issues with logs, metrics, traces, and browser tooling

Compensation
Annual Salary: $320,000 - $465,000 USD
