Frontend Engineer (6 months contract)

Our Frontend Engineer will join our expanding engineering team in Indonesia on a six-month contract. This role is based remotely in Indonesia.

DoiT is expanding our engineering team to Indonesia and we are looking for bright minds to join our first project.

As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll play a key role in localizing DoiT’s Flagship cloud-native SaaS product for the Japanese market. Our vision is to do the localization the smart way - not the hard way - by leveraging cutting edge technology for code refactoring and machine-assisted translation.

• Develop and implement responsive user interfaces for desktop, tablet and mobile.
• Localize products for web and mobile applications.
• Assist in reviewing and performing framework and packages updates to support security initiatives
• Implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality, maintainable software
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers to ensure adherence to coding standards
• Function in an Agile environment, participating in daily standup, sprint planning, review and retrospective meetings
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production, conducting root cause analysis and implementing necessary fixes
• Contribute to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team

• Strong experience in React ecosystem and Tailwind using TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with internationalization, preferably i18next
• Strong experience in developing automated UI tests
• Experience with Git, GitHub Actions and configuring build tooling such as Vite
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

• Experience in creating precise and responsive UI
• Experience with meta frameworks, preferably NextJS
• Familiarity with web security fundamentals
• Understanding of UI principles and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
• Familiarity with cloud cost management / FinOps practices
• Contributions to open-source projects
