Responsible for designing, developing and testing software modules, ensuring optimal functionality and integration within complex systems. YOUR CHALLENGE

General description

We are seeking a Frontend Developer to help us maintain the current trading platform and have the opportunity to improve and create new libraries and frameworks upon which our trading platform is based.

The team interacts directly with traders and business owners to capture new requirements, design and implement innovative solutions in an agile environment.

Key features and accountabilities

Design and Development

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions for our financial products and services.

Frontend Development

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React, Typescript and Node.js.

System Integration

• Work on integrating various financial systems and third-party services, ensuring smooth data flow and interoperability.

Code Quality and Best Practices

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Troubleshooting and Support

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across the stack, providing support for both development and production environments.

Collaboration

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and deliverables.

Change Management

• Actively participate and support Program Increment (PI) planning process within GPS.

• Support change management and release rollout planning.

• Provide dedicated post implementation support locally in Asia.

Regulatory Responsibilities and Risk Management

• Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Professional and Technical

• 5- 10 years relevant work experience in the financial industry

• Profound hands-on JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

• Deep knowledge of current JavaScript frameworks (React/JS) and technologies (Typescript).

• Basic understanding of Unix Operating system and bash scripting

• Good code review skills, and pride in code quality.

• Strong team player.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

• Ability to work in an agile environment.

• Willing to work in a global team that has members in Singapore and Switzerland
