RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop, maintain, and enhance responsive user interfaces using React, Next.js, and Storybook
- Build and publish reusable UI components and patterns in Storybook for use across multiple projects
- Optimize frontend performance (bundle size, lazy‑loading, prefetching) to ensure fast load times and smooth interactions
- Drive accessibility compliance (WCAG AA) by implementing semantic markup, ARIA attributes, and automated/manual testing
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into pixel‑perfect, production‑ready code
- Partner with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints, and troubleshoot end‑to‑end issues
- Conduct and participate in code reviews, share constructive feedback, and uphold high standards for code quality
- Monitor real‑user performance metrics and error logs, then iterate to improve key UX and reliability targets
- Embrace our mission by identifying opportunities to leverage technology for maximum ministry impact and outreach
- Active participation in a church (we look for a lifestyle of inviting people to church, volunteering, generosity, and prioritizing community)
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable work experience building production applications with React and Next.js
- Strong obsession with accessibility (WCAG, ARIA) and hands-on experience building inclusive UIs
- Proven track record of optimizing site performance and delivering fast, smooth user experiences
- Solid understanding of UX best practices and a keen eye for detail in interface design
- Passion for continuous professional growth—always learning, sharing knowledge, and leveling up your craft
- Heart for using technology to reach people for Jesus and further our digital ministry’s mission
- Grit and resilience: you persevere through complex problems and adapt to changing requirements

- We’re a Sunday-Thursday work environment. Monday-Thursday, we’re in the office (8:30AM - 5PM); on Sunday, we’re supporting the weekend worship experience either directly in our roles or by choosing a weekly serving opportunity at one of our Elevation Church campuses.
- There’s a lot to accomplish each week, so we’re pretty fast-paced. We’re also not afraid to pivot a strategy or project quickly to meet the needs of the weekend - adaptability is a key competence for us.
