POSITION SUMMARY
The Front Specialist is a multi-functional, fast paced, customer-oriented position. The incumbent may be responsible for one or more of the following: Customer Care Specialist, Backup Support, Cashier, File Room and/or Telephone Operator. Each of these responsibilities serves integral role in AH operations. One of your primary responsibilities is customer service and a team spirit.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet patients in a polite, prompt and helpful manner.
To receive and take accurate telephone messages.
Strong interpersonal communication skills to support team efforts to the organization.
Direct customers to the appropriate resources when necessary.
Assist patients with necessary paperwork as needed.
Completes necessary paperwork such as encounter forms; uses computer system to generate information necessary for billing
Informs appropriate nursing staff of the patient’s arrival.
Enters all information and verifies information for billing and records purposes.

Rural Health Care, Inc. d/b/a/ Aza Health is a private non-profit community and migrant health center established in rural Putnam County, Florida in 1977. A federally qualified health center (FQHC), Aza Health operates in areas designated as Health Professional Shortage Areas and or Medically Underserved Areas or Populations. Most Aza Health physicians are Board Certified or board eligible in Family Practice, and Internal Medicine. Since its founding in 1977, Rural Health Care, Inc. (Aza Health) has grown to include locations in six contiguous counties in northern Florida: Alachua County, Clay County, Flagler County, Putnam County, St. Johns County, and Volusia County. Today Aza Health operates 11 full-time primary care centers offering a wide range of services, three full-time dental centers, and nine full-service pharmacies. Aza Health receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
