We're seeking a highly driven Front Office Engineer/Data Scientist to join our investment team in Dallas, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to grow into a role with broad technical responsibility and ownership across data infrastructure, pipeline development, and analysis. The ideal candidate brings strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity, and adaptability. You’ll be working directly with the PM and building the foundational tools and systems that support investment analysis, data aggregation, and data visualization in the real estate investment space
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using SQL and Python (pandas, web scraping libraries, etc.).
- Aggregate and clean data from various sources, including web scraping and automated email ingestion workflows.
- Build, update, and maintain dashboards to visualize market data and internal analytics.
- Create internal tools to support valuation, relative performance tracking, and historical position analysis.
- Contribute to the design and build of infrastructure to store, access, and analyze new and existing datasets.
- Regularly explore and evaluate new data sources for relevance and usefulness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience
- Strong Python skills including pandas, web scraping, and automation.
- Someone with an understanding/familiarity with the rapidly developing AI ecosystem that can work to integrate AI support and analysis to the platform over time
- Proficiency with SQL and working with structured databases.
- Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
- Solid Excel skills for quick analysis and presentation.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a startup-like environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in-person or within the Dallas region.
