Secure accurate insurance and demographic information from the patient to be entered into computer system. Answer and route incoming telephone calls as needed. Must be familiar with insurance rules and billing practices in order to assist patients with questions. Assist with patient check out and scheduling of any ordered diagnostic procedures or future appointments. Perform medical records duties such as filing, scanning and send outs as required.
