Role Information
The purpose of the Business System Analyst (Front Office) at Andile is to contribute Capital Markets knowledge and practical application of business analysis in order to design, develop and implement functional and technical system solutions to Capital Markets challenges. This role has a client functional and technical system focus.
Role Objectives
- Understand and clarify client business requirements to identify, document and drive client business challenges through business analysis.
- Perform and deliver business analysis deliverables on projects.
- Contribute business context to functional and/or technical solutions in deliverable teams in order to deliver client solutions.
- Ensure that implemented solutions address the original client business requirement with the requisite quality.
- Ensure Andile’s continual growth in business analysis competence, competitiveness and innovation through continuous individual learning and development.
- Understand and clarify client functional and technical system requirements to identify, document and solve client system challenges within the client business context.
- Deliver functional and technical system solutions to solve client business and system challenges.
- Ensure that implemented system solutions address the original client business and/ or system requirement with the requisite quality and efficiency that aims to exceed client expectations.

Qualifications
The following educational requirements were found to be relevant to this role:
- B.Sc. Financial Mathematics or B.Sc. Actuarial Science, or
- Similar degrees with a Mathematics, Financial and B.Eng. background
- Professional Certification or Post-graduate degrees are advantageous.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
The following knowledge and skills requirements were found to be relevant to this role:
- 3+ Years Experience Capital/Financial Markets (CIB highly beneficial)
- Capital Market Knowledge: Understanding of Global Markets and Treasury.
- Communication: Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for the team and stakeholders.
- Business Analysis: Experience in gathering client requirements and mapping them to business solutions.
- Client Value Proposition: Strong interest in exploring client needs and providing solutions.
Front Office
Front Office benchmark, individuals need expertise in several areas:
- Understanding macro-economic factors in Financial and Capital Markets.
- Staying updated on market trends, regulations, and conditions.
- Familiarity with Global Markets and Treasury structures.
- Knowledge of asset classes like FX, FI, and MM, with experience in at least two others.
- Understanding sales and proprietary desks within Treasury, including credit and liquidity risk.
- Ability to influence business processes and provide advisory based on market standards.
- Proficiency in position management, liquidation, and monitoring market data.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and provide meaningful insights.
- Experience in scoping Front Office operations and mapping business needs to system capabilities.
- Skill in constructing portfolio hierarchies within the system.
- Pricing knowledge across different asset classes and utilising the system effectively.
- Collaboration with trading floor stakeholders and providing advisory support.
- Effective communication to bridge the gap between Calypso and Global Market concepts.
- Exposure to other Calypso Front Office offerings like Asset Management.
Skills Required
- 3+ years experience in Capital/Financial Markets (CIB highly beneficial)
- Experience with Calypso trading/front-office system
- Understanding of Global Markets and Treasury
- B.Sc. in Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Financial degree or B.Eng. background
- Business analysis experience: gathering client requirements and mapping to business/system solutions
- Knowledge of asset classes (FX, FI, MM) and experience in at least two other asset classes
- Ability to communicate and simplify complex technical concepts for stakeholders
- Experience with position management, pricing, portfolio hierarchies and front-office scoping
- Professional certification or post-graduate degree
- Exposure to Calypso Front Office offerings such as Asset Management
