Front-end Software Engineer

IQEQ is a preeminent service provider to the alternative asset industry. IQEQ works with managers in multiple capacities ranging from hedge fund, private equity fund, and mutual fund launches; private equity fund administration; advisory firm set-up, regulatory registration and infrastructure design; ongoing regulatory compliance (SEC, CFTC, and 40 Act); financial controls and operational support services; compliance and operational related projects and reviews; and outsourced CFO/controller and administration services to private equity fund investments – portfolio companies, real estate assets and energy assets. Our client base is growing, and our existing clients are engaging the firm across the spectrum of our services offerings.

The successful candidate will be working on the continuous development of our multiple proprietary RegTech software solutions, in an Agile environment. The engineer will be contributing to continuously improve the Frontend of our applications using the Vue framework and/or other frameworks. 

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a dynamic development team on the forefront of Vue application development
• Contribute to the continuing development of the software frontend for IQEQ R&D
• Develop and maintain reusable modular components
• Write and maintain unit tests and documentation
• Resolve bug fix tickets on the internally developed code base
• Show an awareness of ongoing security risks and solutions
• Write well-structured, efficient, testable code in line with industry's best practice

Requirements 

• Excellent verbal and oral communication skills in English  
• Enthusiasm to grow and learn from experienced colleagues 
• Self-motivated and keen to learn new technologies and methodologies 
• Process oriented working style with clear goal direction and output focus 
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment 

• 4+ years commercial software development experience with Vue.js (or similar technologies like React) 
• Understanding of modern JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds 
• Knowledge of frontend state management solutions (Vuex, Pinia) 
• An understanding of consuming REST-based APIs and asynchronous request handling 
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS (experience in CSS precompiling SASS/LESS a plus) 
• Experience in the Agile/Scrum development methodology a plus 
• An understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design 
• Experience with modern JavaScript tools (PNPM, TS, Vite)

This is a US based position - salary based on experience and location ($80,000-$100,000) and full benefits package offered.
