Santander Digital Services (SDS) is the team of technology and operations at Santander. UK Tower is the Santander UK Nearshoring strategy vehicle in Santander Digital Services located in Spain, to provide technology workforce and services directly to Santander UK that will work together and for UK Technology teams.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Front-End Software Engineer you will have the opportunity to work in a highly dynamic and inventive environment.
We value delivering high-quality products that meet the needs of our customers. To this end, we are seeking candidates who will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment and beyond.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

Taking responsibility of the software delivery by ensuring quality and scope expectations are met

Taking responsibility of the software delivery by ensuring quality and scope expectations are met;

Developing user stories working solo or pairing with a colleague

Discussing functional and technical solutions with the different stakeholders in the business, UX designers, architecture, and engineering managers to ensure US are refined and understood at the correct level

Write the automated testing required to ensure your stories meet the criteria to be considered “Done”

Ensuring delivered solutions are developed under DevOps practices and latest technology trends

Keeping the solutions delivered running healthy in production minimising incidents and maximising quality of service

A software engineer who takes pride in their craftsmanship and in the results that they deliver
EXPERIENCE
-
+3 years of related experience.
EDUCATION
-
University degree in technology, preferably in computer science.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
-
Java
-
Extensive knowledge of working with distributed infrastructure systems and client-server architectures.
-
Front End technologies such as Angular, React JS, javascript, CSS.
-
Excellent working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
-
Experience of using agile methodologies embedding TDD (test-driven development) and BDD as part of development lifecycle

Experience working and integrating with RESTful API under Microservices Architecture

Knowledge of continuous Integration and continuous delivery using Jenkins and the Nexus repository manager
