About the Team
Our Product and Engineering team works with our award-winning products to help us create a single experience to help customers assess risk, detect threats and automate their security programs at over 10,000 organizations. These teams use best-in-class technology, leading-edge research, and broad, strategic expertise to develop new products and features, and enhance existing features, in order to create value for customers across the world.
You would be part of our X-team!
X-Team is a normal software engineering team, fully staffed with front-end and back-end developers, and a engineering manager. But rather than working consistently on a specific functional area, an X-team works on a series of short term engagements across a variety of projects and strategic initiatives.
Typical engagements might include:
- Kickstarting a new investment idea until a team can be hired
- Helping to integrate a newly acquired product onto the platform
- Working with another dev team to help integrate a platform service/initiative
- Partnering with an existing platform dev team to accelerate a project of strategic importance
In this role you will:
- Build, maintain, and release our well architected services by writing correct and clean code consistently and following best practices and conventions
- Participate in the design and planning of upcoming features, our Engineers are first class stakeholders in all parts of the development process
- When required, partner with internal teams such as UX and Product Management who work deeply with our product to ensure we are understanding our customers needs
- Work towards developing a deep understanding of our products in order to best support our customers
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in both backend and front end experience with Java (or other backend language) and JavaScript (React)
- Solid understanding of modern web development concepts Capable of translating arbitrary design into responsive styles; familiar with standards and conventions
- Excited by technology, curious and eager to learn
- The attitude and ability to thrive in a high-growth, evolving environment
- Collaborative team player who has the ability to partner with others and drive toward solutions
- Strong creative problem solving skills
- Solid communicator with excellent written and verbal communications skills both within the team and cross functionally
- Passionate about delighting customers, puts the customer needs at the forefront of all decision making.
