Summary:

Join one of the most innovative educational technology brands as a Senior Software Engineer II, contributing to a rapidly expanding organization. As a Senior Front-End Engineer at Curriculum Associates, you will have the opportunity to lead the development and support of advanced content management applications. You will play a critical role in designing and delivering rich web-based experiences and mentoring less experienced engineers.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development and enhancement of software solutions in collaboration with product owners and engineering teams.

2. Design and implement robust, scalable software solutions ensuring an exceptional user experience.

3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing feedback loops such as code reviews and state-of-the-art code quality and productivity tools.

4. Ensure comprehensive automated unit and integration testing accompanies all application code.

5. Lead efforts to improve the efficiency of the software development lifecycle, sharing innovative ideas and best practices.

6. Maintain high code quality by actively addressing and managing technical debt and defects.

7. Serve as a key communicator and liaison between teams to facilitate seamless progress on shared goals.

8. Foster a culture of proactive learning within the team, promoting both functional and technical knowledge advancements.

Required Job Skills and Abilities:

1. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.

2. Demonstrated commitment to self-development and continuous learning, evidenced by academic achievements or industry contributions.

3. Extensive experience with the following technologies: TypeScript (JavaScript), React, CSS, GraphQL.

4. Familiarity with complementary technologies such as Node, SQL (MySQL), GraphQL (Apollo) is a plus.

5. Proven track record in building and optimizing responsive web applications interfacing with backend service APIs.

6. Strong understanding of Agile software development practices and methodologies.

7. Experience working with AI tooling such as Github Copilot or Cursor AI

Required Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, with preference for advanced studies.

2. At least 8 years of professional experience in web application development, demonstrating progressive growth and responsibility.
