We are looking for a Front-End Engineer to develop and maintain the existing web interface.
Stepping into this very challenging role will mean stepping into a dynamic environment. There’ll be a steep learning curve, but we believe the future belongs to those who build it. Success would mean having a strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Build and maintain internal and external-facing web applications and systems using ReactJs/React Native, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3.
- Architect, design, and implement user-facing features end-to-end (React, etc.)
- Integrate our front-end UI with the constructed API.
- Clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions.
- Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and usability that have a particular impact across the team and others.
- Work closely with other departments of the organization.
- Close collaboration with Product team and UI Engineers
Who You Are:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing front-end heavy applications using Javascript, ReactJs, HTML5, CSS3.
- A plus is experience with PHP (Symphony).
- Solid understanding of semantic HTML5, CSS3, core Javascript, and jQuery concepts.
- Hands on experience in any of AngularJs, React, and Javascript Libraries
- Experience with Responsive Web Design (RWD) and cross browser compatibility.
- Hands-on experience working in an Agile product development environment.
- Basic understanding of software design patterns.
- Experience with web service integration using technologies such as REST, XML, JSON.
- Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems.
- Are able to use JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience using Github in a professional/workplace environment.
- Solid understanding of core web and browser concepts (eg. how the browser parses and constructs a web page).
- Comfortable and have familiarity with the code review process.
- Comfortable working in a highly agile software development process.
- Demonstrated ability to onboard and integrate with an organization long-term.
- Positive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Inclined towards communication, inclusion, and visibility.
- Self-motivated and self-managing with great organizational skills.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment.
- Experience in Jsplumb (a plus)
