Front-End Developer

Your Role: Front End Developer
The DOOH team are responsible for developing the delivery platform for all programmatic advertisements across Global’s outdoor estate. This ranges from large roadside signs to all Transport for London digital displays. This platform sits at the heart of outdoor advertisement, and needs to be available 24/7, 365.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining intuitive dashboards for monitoring and managing digital advertising frames. You will integrate real-time data from various platforms, allowing users to track frame availability, bid statuses, and ad performance. You will work closely with the backend team to fetch and display data, implement interactive visualizations, and ensure that all front-end systems are responsive and performant.

Key Responsibilities

Feature Development: 30% - Developing features for the business and building on the platform architecture to support future capabilities on the roadmap.

Platform Development: 30% - You will contribute to developing reusable component libraries that power our applications.

Collaboration: 30% - You will work closely with other developers, tech leads, and product owners to understand project requirements, discuss implementation approaches, and create seamless user experiences.

Following standards and best practices: 10% - You will adhere to established coding standards, development processes, and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality code.

What Success Looks Like
In your first few months, you’ll have:

Delivered several features to the digital outdoor parts of our business.

Followed good development practice and taken part in code reviews.

Established strong working relationships with product managers, backend engineers, and design teams, ensuring alignment on requirements and feature deliveries.

Contributed to enhancing the user experience by refining UI components based on feedback from users and stakeholders.
What You’ll Need

Flexibility & Positivity: Self-starting, problem solving attitude.

Expertise: Demonstrable experience of good coding patterns and understanding of functional programming.

Software Development: Demonstrable experience in Typescript, React, Restful APIs, GraphQL (nice to have)

Quality: A commitment to testing – experience of writing and maintaining unit tests

Building Trust: Experience with working in a sociable, cross-functional team.

Attention to Detail: An eye for detail and the desire to make sure things are done right.
