GDIT is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to join our team of building scalable, maintainable and high-performance UI applications using a microservices architecture. As a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing application frontend framework and technologies, with a focus on building modular, loosely coupled components that integrate with our backend microservices. You will work closely with our development team to build reusable UI components, optimize UI performance and ensure accessibility. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
• Experience: 8+ years of related
• Technical skills required:

• • Demonstrated experience working with Amazon Web Services environments, including S3, to design, develop, deploy, maintain, and monitor web applications within AWS infrastructures.
  • Demonstrated experience programming in Java and/or JavaScript.
  • Demonstrated experience with J2EE and enterprise web application design and development.
  • Demonstrated experience working with RDS databases.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and writing RESTful applications.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and deploying applications to an Apache Tomcat web server.
  • Demonstrated ability to debug existing software and correct defects.
  • Demonstrated ability to make recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
  • Demonstrated experience with change management processes using GitHub and/or Jira to track changes in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers, analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes, and investigating problem areas.
  • Demonstrated experience translating product requirements into system solutions that take into account technical, schedule, cost, security, and policy constraints.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an agile environment and leading agile projects.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with staff, IT customers, and other technical and non‑technical staff and contractors at all levels.

• Demonstrated experience developing non‑traditional or innovative means of applying technical solutions to difficult analytic problems.
  • Demonstrated experience working and applying creativity in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with coordination and facilitation of meetings and technical discussions of requirements; tracking project status, plans, action items, and drafting meeting minutes.
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS Data Pipeline.
  • Demonstrated experience programming web applications in React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript using jQuery.
  • Demonstrated experience developing REST APIs and interfacing with REST APIs using AJAX.

The likely salary range for this position is $159,120 - $215,280. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
