Front End Developer (Senior)

You will be part of one of the teams working on the Bingel DC platform.
Bingel is the adaptive all-round platform for primary education where teachers and pupils are central. Bingel assists the teacher in achieving his or her main goal: getting the best learning outcomes for each pupil. Its different modules support the teacher not only by offering the best quality teaching materials, but also by offering a range of time-saving solutions on planning, preparing, coaching and assessing. Pupils in Belgium, Finland, Sweden and the Netherlands love Bingel as their gamified learning platform for every-day use. Their personal avatar joins them while they’re learning and adapted practicing, with which they earn virtual money that can be used for buying avatar accessories or games.

Work setup

This position is remote, with occasional visits to our office in Barcelona for training, team meetings, or business trips. As your home office is based in Spain, you can work remotely exclusively within Spain.

Role responsibilities

Help build the most innovative and engaging educational applications.

As a front-end developer, you will be part of one of our fantastic Scrum teams. You develop new functionalities, solve problems and make analyses of more complex issues. By making a proof of concept, you help the team make technical choices where necessary. You do not lose sight of quality and motivate your team members to do the same.

Must-have requirements

• Proven experience as a Front-end Developer: 5+ years of experience

• Proficiency and hands-on experience with Angular version 2

• Nrwl/nx: experience using the Nx framework for managing monorepos

• Unit testing: Jest or Jasmine/Karma

• TypeScript: good knowledge and hands-on experience

• Previous experience in agile methodologies

• RxJS: good knowledge and hands-on experience

• HTML and CSS

• GIT

• Proactive approach, problem-solving skills, and a can-do attitude

• English proficiency: C1/C2 (both written and spoken communication)

Nice-to-have requirements

• Integration Testing: Testcafé or similar

• Storybook 

• NgRx 

• SpectatorJs 

• familiarity with Docker and Kubertness (valuable bonus experience)

• Spanish proficiency: A2/B1 (both written and spoken communication)
