About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend Software Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance, and user-friendly web applications. This role requires a deep understanding of frontend technologies, architectural best practices, and the ability to drive technical direction in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and evolve the frontend system — defining modular structure, state management patterns, rendering strategies, and extensibility models
- Drive technical strategy through well-written RFCs, design discussions, and architectural reviews
- Ensure high performance across complex workflows, large documents, long-running sessions, and memory-intensive operations
- Establish best-in-class engineering standards across testing, CI/CD pipelines, observability, monitoring, and release quality
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to navigate technical tradeoffs and scalability decisions
- Mentor engineers, influence frontend best practices, and elevate overall code quality and architectural thinking
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience building large-scale web applications, with 3–5+ years in a frontend architectural leadership capacity
- Strong expertise in React and TypeScript, particularly for building complex and performance-sensitive interfaces
- Experience developing advanced UI systems such as design editors, canvas-based applications, multi-pane interfaces, timeline-driven tools, or large data-heavy surfaces
- Deep understanding of state management architecture (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, Jotai, or similar patterns)
- Demonstrated experience optimizing performance in production environments
- Experience collaborating on API contracts and navigating distributed systems tradeoffs
- Proven ownership of frontend architecture including tooling, testing frameworks, build systems, monitoring, and deployment processes
