We are currently hiring a Front Desk Monitor for The Village at Copper Basin, a master-planned, family-oriented community in San Tan Valley, Arizona, featuring a village-style layout with amenities like walking paths, sports courts, a pool, and recreation facilities.
This role requires availability Sunday through Saturday, including opening and closing shifts and weekends. Responsibilities include greeting residents and guests, assisting with inquiries about community events and programs, and operating computer systems to process program registrations and related tasks.
Position Responsibilities:
- Monitor activities in exercise equipment areas, aerobic room, aquatic areas, outdoor gaming area, locker rooms, classrooms, crafts and ballroom; report any safety and facility concerns to Management.
- Advise residents and their guests of facility policies and procedures.
- Perform minor custodial duties to include wiping down machines, picking up discarded items, etc.
- Perform facility opening and closing procedures and identify changes to implement.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the Health/Wellness areas.
- Validate resident/guest participation and issue fitness equipment upon request.
- Respond to emergency situations per First Aid/CPR training and/or facility procedures as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as directed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced customer service and communication skills (both verbally and written), and the ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff.
- Ability to elicit information from callers and visitors in a professional and efficient manner.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional organization and tracking skills.
- Ability to function efficiently in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interact and work positively and effectively with staff and homeowners at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively within the department as well as with other departments.
- Experience with Etrak or related Gym Check-In Systems preferred but not required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Must be flexible and capable of working hours, to include weekends and holidays as necessary.
- Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities.
- Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying, and moving objects that can weigh up to 45 lbs. Must be able to transport oneself around the association and recreation center facilities.
