The Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
322 W. 7th Ave. • Spokane, WA 99204

Join a Team That Truly Makes a Difference

At The Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, we understand that most patients aren't walking through our doors for a routine visit—they're often anxious, in pain, or facing an unexpected procedure. That's why our front desk team is so important.

We're looking for someone who is warm, detail orientated, confident, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, takes pride in staying organized, and understands that every interaction shapes a patient's experience.

Our team believes in working hard, supporting one another, and creating an environment where patients feel cared for from the very first phone call until their treatment is complete. If you're someone who enjoys staying busy, loves solving problems, wants room to grow, and wants to be part of a close-knit team that values excellence and kindness, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As our Front Desk Coordinator, you'll be the first impression of our practice and an essential part of creating an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting every patient with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.
  • Answering incoming phone calls and assisting patients with scheduling appointments.
  • Checking patients in and out efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
  • Creating and updating patient accounts.
  • Collecting patient payments.
  • Coordinating surgery schedules and ensuring appointments are prepared correctly.
  • Communicating with referring offices and other healthcare providers.
  • Keeping the front office organized while balancing multiple priorities throughout the day.
  • Supporting teammates wherever needed to keep the office running smoothly.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Loves helping people and creating positive experiences.
  • Remains calm and professional during busy or stressful moments.
  • Is highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Learns quickly and enjoys improving processes.
  • Can confidently multitask without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Takes initiative
  • Communicates clearly with patients, coworkers, and providers.
  • Works well independently while also being an outstanding team player.
  • Has a positive attitude and enjoys contributing to a supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in oral surgery, dental, or medical offices.
  • Experience scheduling patients and working with electronic health records.

Why You'll Love Working Here

We believe great patient care starts with a great team. We invest in our employees by fostering a positive workplace built on collaboration, respect, accountability, and continuous learning.

You'll work alongside experienced professionals who genuinely care about one another and our patients. Every day brings opportunities to learn, grow, and make a meaningful difference in someone's life.

This position requires extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, and computer work. Employees may occasionally lift or move supplies weighing up to 25 pounds, assist with patient mobility when necessary, and perform bending, kneeling, or reaching as part of daily responsibilities.
