The Front Desk Associate serves as the first point of contact for members and guests at Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with memberships and program registrations, supporting daily front desk operations, and creating a welcoming environment for all visitors. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, dependable, and committed to delivering a positive member experience.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist members, guests, and prospective members in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.

  • Answer questions regarding memberships, programs, facility amenities, policies, and services.

  • Process new memberships, renewals, and membership changes accurately.

  • Assist members with registering for group exercise classes and other recreational programs.

  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to member inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Monitor front desk operations to ensure efficient daily facility operations.

  • Respond to member concerns and resolve issues professionally or escalate them to management when appropriate.

  • Enforce facility policies and procedures while maintaining a positive member experience.

  • Support the opening and closing procedures of the facility as assigned.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and emergency procedures.

  • Communicate shift updates, incidents, and member feedback to supervisors and management.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, recreation, or fitness facility operations preferred.

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and membership management software.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Work Environment

This position is based in a busy recreation and fitness facility serving members of all ages. The Front Desk Associate regularly interacts with members, guests, staff, and vendors while working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required based on facility operating hours.
