Job Description

The Fresh Pasta Supervisor (Lead Artisan) has expertise in products and processes at all retail stations and supervises the teams to drive positive guest experience, profitability and efficiency. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.

  • Fosters a guest-centric and sales-focused learning environment, increasing the team’s product knowledge and improving processes and execution
  • Makes pasta according to Eataly's recipes and high-quality standards
  • Ensures retail supplies are in stock and being utilized properly at all stations
  • Merchandizes counter and display refrigerators neatly, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Slices, weighs, labels, displays, sells and packages products per department standards and guest specifications
  • Manages transfers between departments to ensure accurate inventory levels and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
  • Analyzes financials and partners with the Fresh Market Manager to develop new strategies
  • Provides a steady presence on the floor, constantly interacting with guests, employees, vendors and visitors
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in food service
  • Experience supervising a team in a food service setting
  • Knowledge of steps of service
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Knowledge of and passion for Italian products

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
  • Ability to fulfill cleaning duties such as wiping counters and small equipment, sweeping and refilling stock
