Freezer Checker

This position is essential to maintaining efficient freezer space and organization. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team member who values safety, efficiency, and communication in a dynamic work setting.

2nd shift: 2:30pm – 11pm, Monday - Friday ($1.50 Shift Differential)

The Freezer Checker is responsible for efficiently clearing selected freight and products, staging them in designated areas within the freezer, and consolidating orders to optimize space. This role involves handling inbound freight, operating pallet jacks and forklifts, and using RF scanning for inventory traceability. The specialist will work in a cold, loud environment, managing tasks in temperatures around -10°F and communicating effectively to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Freight Clearing & Staging: Move selected products from pickers and stage them on the freezer wall in an organized manner.
• Space Optimization: Consolidate orders on the freezer wall to maximize available space.
• Inbound Freight Handling: Transport designated inbound freight to the correct freezer aisle based on operational assignments.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate a pallet jack and forklift to move products efficiently.
• Inventory Management: Use RF scanning to track freight in and out of the freezer for accurate traceability.
• Communication: Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or cold storage environment is preferred.
• Skills: Proficient in using RF scanners; strong organizational and communication skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a -10°F environment and handle moderate physical tasks, including moving pallets and operating heavy machinery.
• Certification: Forklift certification preferred; training can be provided.

• Loud environment: proper PPE will be provided
