About the role
We're seeking a skilled freelance SEO Copy Editor to produce high-quality SEO-first destination guides for GetYourGuide’s content hub, The Explorer.
You will:
- Edit and refine destination guides for SEO and tone of voice.
- Collaborate with junior writers, providing feedback and managing deadlines.
- Ensure all content aligns with our SEO guidelines and brand tone.
- Produce engaging articles that capture our unique voice.
- Optimize existing content for better performance and conversion.
Who you are
- Fluent in English — spoken and written.
- Proven experience in SEO copy editing.
- Strong writing skills with a flair for our specific tone of voice.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Flexible and adaptable to the needs of a dynamic start-up environment.
- Experience with keyword research tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Semrush).
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g. ContentStack)
- Experience using project management tools (e.g. JIRA)
- Eye for strong editorial imagery
Details:
- Approximately 25 hours per week.
- Remote work with flexible scheduling.
- Regular check-ins to ensure alignment and progress.
- Project to run for at least three months
