📝 Job Description :
Our Custom Solutions team builds what our most demanding clients cannot get from the platform alone, and it runs out of capacity exactly when demand peaks. We are bringing in a freelance Solution Engineer for a 4 to 5 month mission to own custom data projects end-to-end through our busiest season.
Concretely, you unlock projects we would otherwise have to turn down, with around 2 client projects delivered per month, from qualifying the need to presenting the results back to the client. Your analyses feed the strategic decisions of retail, food & beverage, real estate and public sector leaders in France and Spain, on mobility data nobody else has.
You also free up the team’s senior capacity for our shift to Gini, our AI-powered product. High ownership, clear deliverables, no bureaucracy.
🤝 About our team :
You join the Custom Solutions team (Professional Services), 6 people between Paris and Spain, reporting to Mathurin. Day-to-day you work with Custom Team, the two Senior Solution Engineers who carry delivery, and closely with the Account Executives, Product and Data teams. The team is senior and autonomous, everyone owns their projects from the first client call to the final restitution and ships client-facing work every week.
💼 To give you more details about your day-to-day at MyTraffic :
Own around 2 custom client projects per month, end-to-end, from needs qualification to final restitution
Build the deliverables yourself, in Python (pandas) notebooks, SmartDash dashboards, mockups and SQL (BigQuery / Snowflake)
Qualify client needs with our Account Executives and turn them into a scoped, sellable analysis
Model where depth is required, from footfall to performance forecasting, to sharpen the recommendation
Present results directly to clients, handle their questions live, and turn feedback into next steps
Master our data ecosystem, how each source is produced, what it can answer and what it cannot
Document each project and hand it over cleanly, so the work outlives the mission
Share insights with the Product team to make the platform absorb tomorrow what is custom today

🛠️ Hard skills
3+ years in a technical or solution engineering role in a SaaS company, delivering analyses or custom solutions to external clients
Strong Python (pandas) and SQL, you build a complete analysis on large datasets without support
Comfortable building predictive models (forecasting) and turning them into a business recommendation
Able to produce client-ready outputs, dashboards, mockups and restitution decks
Spanish and English fluent (required), French is a plus
Freelance status with your own company structure, based in Barcelona or Madrid, available for a full-time mission of 4 to 5 months starting ASAP

⚙️ The Recruitment Process

3️⃣ 30 min final interview with the Head of Custom team / CSM – scope, terms and decision
Skills Required
- 3+ years of experience in a technical or solution engineering role in a SaaS company delivering analyses or custom solutions to external clients
- Strong Python and pandas skills
- Strong SQL skills and ability to analyze large datasets independently
- Experience building predictive models, including forecasting, and translating results into business recommendations
- Ability to produce client-ready dashboards, mockups, analysis outputs, and presentation decks
- Fluent Spanish and English
- Freelance status with an established company structure
