As a Freelance Content Editor for the Indian market (Tamil or Telugu language), you’ll play a vital role in shaping the content experience for millions of users by selecting and curating high-quality, engaging, and diverse content. You'll be the editorial voice behind what our Tamil and Telugu-speaking audiences see on the Taboola feed, ensuring every piece of content is timely, relevant, and impactful. To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Fluency in Tamil or Telugu, with excellent editorial and linguistic skillsExperience in news editing, journalism, or digital media with a strong understanding of the Indian media landscape
Deep familiarity with Indian culture, current affairs, trends, and public sentiment
Comfort using content management systems and digital tools
Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage priorities across multiple tasks
Strong organizational and communication skills with sharp attention to detail
Bonus points if you have:
Experience in remote or freelance editorial roles
Awareness of content moderation, brand safety, or platform compliance standards
Exposure to content recommendation systems or platforms

Curating and reviewing Tamil or Telugu-language news and feature content for Taboola’s content surfaces
Ensuring all selected content adheres to Taboola’s editorial guidelines and local regulations
Promoting a balanced mix of topics and publishers across news, politics, entertainment, lifestyle, business, tech, etc.
Contributing to the relevance, timeliness, and diversity of content served to Tamil and Telugu-speaking audiences
Working within a structured editorial workflow to optimize user engagement and content quality
