The Freelance Broadcast IT Engineer will support live studio broadcast and postproduction with an emphasis on networking. Understanding of Network Rules, Firewalls, VLANs, Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing protocol knowledge will be needed to keep production and post-production units operational.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work on location at the Fox Pico Lot supporting Production and Post-production daily operations
- Work with a team of engineers with vast knowledge of multiple operating systems and broadcast gear
- Provide technical support of gear ranging from Network Switches, IP routers, Automation, 2110 broadcast devices
- Understand CAD drawings for the purpose of planning/implementing expansion projects
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- 2+ years of experience in IT based engineering roles
- CCNP Certification
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing protocol understanding
- Advanced computer/IT skills
- Understanding of networking, subnets, and IT configuration
NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
- College education
- Prior work experience in television trucks or network facilities
- Broadcast router experience
- Experience with Evertz

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $60.00-70.00 per hour. We provide medical/dental/vision insurance and 401k after they meet eligibility criteria and any State required time-off, in accordance with applicable plan documents.
