We are currently seeking a critical thinker who is analytical, thorough, and has a natural aptitude for problem-solving to join Fraud Operations.  Utilizing some of the industry’s most advanced tools, you will investigate assigned cases or incidents of reported fraud, including but not limited to stolen financials, identity theft, compromised accounts, service abuse, losses, and compliance breach, and perform linked analysis to detect and mitigate further potential risks and trends.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage thorough, complete, and accurate investigative narrative and reporting of fraud cases, escalations, and chargebacks along with corroborating data and other evidence.

  • Review hourly fraud monitoring reports and alerts assisting with team coverage during normal business hours, some weekends, and occasional holiday traffic and take appropriate actions to mitigate fraud exposure and profit loss.

  • Perform outbound investigative phone calls for verification purposes to end users so as to determine the legitimacy of domestic or international call traffic or the validity of fraud claims.

  • Maintain a weekly report of financials to identify quantitative impact of fraud activity.

  • Perform new order fraud background checks for large, high dollar orders, SIP trunking orders, or new sign-ups as required.

  • Provide recommendations to the modification or creation of new fraud policies and procedures so as to enhance fraud detection, mitigation, and recovery efforts.

  • Identify new and continuously evolving trends, domestic and international.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements as part of a continuous improvement framework.

  • Performs complete and thorough follow-through of assigned cases and follow up.

  • Highly technical, computer savvy with online investigations, proactive in research, fact-gathering and fact-checking.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Proficient in both Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite tools. 

  • Customer service professional

  • Bilingual a plus

  • Experience in telecom industry tools a plus
